Dania Rajendra directs the coalition Athena
and fits a writing life in where she can. A poet and essayist, Dania’s writing showcases and fosters solidarity across many kinds of difference. A native New Yorker, she has lived in the Upper Midwest, the Deep South, and now lives in Queens. She is a frequent speaker on racism, antisemitism, economic (in)justice and the political right. The immediate past chair of the board of Political Research Associates, Dania sits on the board of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice. And she really, really likes to talk about Jell-O.
